Rebecca Louise Lewis wants you to think about nature

Rebecca Louise Lewis is described in her bio as an instillation artist, working with natural materials.

I want to live inside one of her installations please.

What would you call this?

I had a party where I spent most of the time upstairs on my bed talking to the people who tried to come in and use the loo.

I want to live in that, Dionisio González.

Dionisio González creates imaginary buildings that are just great - they all kind of speak for themselves. I think they are beautiful.

'Inter-Acciones' (2013

'Dauphin Island Series' (2011)

Oh yeah, and here are some buildings he imagined for Venice:

'Venice Series' (The Light Hours 2011)

High Fructose ran a feature on him not so long ago. Check it out for actual critique!

Valerie Hegarty's art is falling to bits

Valerie Hegarty's approach to art is great. I am sick of all these artists taking their work so seriously that it can't drip off the wall or turn into tree branches. [I just read the interview I pasted below, she does in fact take her work very seriously - but it is interesting what she says. Read it yourself, lazy.]

Clap Clap Clap VH. Thanks for making this. It would be great to get to go to one of her fully decked out rooms where everything is all smooshed up and confusing.

More here, here and there is an interview here

Jana Romanova took some pictures which make me uncomfortable

I have always found watching other people sleep a little bit uncomfortable. Its just a bit private.

Jana Ramonova takes that to the next level by throwing pregnancy into the mix, photographing soon to be parents sleeping, in their homes, in her series 'Waiting'. There is something pretty compelling about it, perhaps it is that I just like looking in other peoples houses.

Three ladies

I'm back.

Here are some photos I took. I was going to call them 'portraits' but that sounds dumb.
